Mouse Tracking Accuracy Test

How accurate and fast can you move your mouse?

The Mouse Efficiency Test measures your speed and accuracy. The rule is simple: move the ball along the curve to the other end. Do not go out of bounds! If you move out of the curve, the game will NOT end, but 10 seconds will be deducted as a penalty. Try to trace as many curves as possible before the time runs out. Your score is the number of curves completed.

It might be toughโ€”rookies often lose a lot of time due to penalties. If you want to be a pro-gamer, aim for at least 30 points.

Mouse Tracking Accuracy Test FAQ

How do I play the Mouse Tracking Accuracy Test?

The goal is to test your hand-eye coordination by tracking a target along a curved path. Click and hold the target, then drag it as accurately as possible from the start to the finish line.

Note: The timer doesn't start until your first interaction, so take a moment to focus before you begin. Once you complete a path, the next level will appear instantly. Keep going until the clock hits zero!

What are the rules and penalties?

To ensure a true test of skill, we have implemented a few key mechanics:

  • Off-Track Penalty: If your target drifts too far from the centerline while dragging, a 10-second penalty will be deducted from your remaining time.
  • Shrinking Radius: As the countdown progresses, the target's radius will gradually shrink, requiring significantly higher precision in the final seconds.
  • Drag Flexibility: You are allowed to move your cursor outside the game canvas; as long as you maintain the click, you can continue your current run once the cursor returns.

How is my final score calculated?

Your final score is a weighted combination of Quantity (how many levels you finished) and Quality (how precisely you tracked the lines):

  1. Deviation Score: For every path, we measure your Average Deviation and Max Deviation (in pixels) to calculate a quality score between 0 and 100.
  2. Quality Multiplier: Your overall precision across all runs creates a multiplier ranging from 0.65 to 1.35.
  3. Final Points:
Final Score = Total Runs ร— Quality Multiplier

To maximize your score, you must find the perfect balance between speed and surgical precision. One messy run can significantly lower your multiplier!
